  26. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF JOB

  30. Develop, coordinate and support data communications systems
  31. involving inter-departmental and remote access hardware and
  32. software applications.  Responsible for maintaining and securing
  33. customer-driven on-line systems through the development of
  34. scripts, macros, programs, file transfers and conversions,
  35. supporting internal and outside E-Mail, remote LAN access and
  36. bulletin board systems, also implementing peer-to-peer and
  37. workgroup connectivity solutions.

  41. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB:

  45. To provide and maintain superior development, security and
  46. leading edge technical expertise in the areas of on-line systems
  47. and data communications, ensuring maximum utilization of these
  48. strategic, mission-critical information resources for the
  49. continuing success of CMD Services, Inc.

  53. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:

  57. Develop MCI Mail scripts and communications software to
  58. integrate electronic order entry with the CMD Services
  59. accounting and production systems.  Use Lotus Express, CC:Mail
  60. and QModem Pro to provide user support for correspondence and
  61. file transfers.

  65. Troubleshoot problems regarding connection to Novell Netware
  66. server-based local area network and outside phone lines. 
  67. Configure driver software and specify cabling for PCs and
  68. peripheral devices.  Recommend vendors and products for purchase
  69. requisition.

  73. Develop and administer address databases in ArcList, Paradox,
  74. Access and Excel.  Provide file conversion support and printing
  75. services for automated manifest systems and basic production
  76. jobs.

  80. Must be able to demonstrate expert proficiency in DOS and
  81. Windows applications.  Experience in network databases and
  82. asynchronous communications is a must.  This position requires a
  83. high degree of  organization, attention-to-detail and
  84. responsiveness to customer requirements.

  88. Superior verbal/written communications and time management
